What do you think it's the purpose of Yahoo Answers?

First I thought that it is for requesting help in different situations from people all over the world. However few people would reply the questions where I requested help and most of the time they'd be sarcastic. As an experiment I asked a simple question which would give people both the chance to easily obtain 2 points and also offend me. And guess what? I was bombarded with replies. So what do you say?
