I want to take a trip to Scotland. Does anyone know the cheapest way to do so?

The trip will be starting out in Denver, CO, but I can fly out of other states. I'm not worried as much about airfare than the cost while I'm in Scotland. I have no preference to what city I go to and don't need anything fancy. Is there a way to take a ship or a program that I could get involved in? Any helpful suggestions?
