Boyfriend help?

It seems like my boyfriend lacks self esteem due to the fact that he has always been told he was wrong as a child. He really is a wonderful guy but Im not sure how to raise his compliments. I tell him that I am the luckiest girl to have him by his side and he is so wonderful and caring but he just rejects it so harshly what should I do?
