How do you become a calm, cool person as opposed to being overly emotional and aggressive?

Just realise this world is ****, and the reality is to just try and "never take life seriously... no one gets out alive anyway". Also, I play "let it be" by the beatles in my head and just dont care anymore. You cant change what is happening around you but you can change your attitude. Learn to adapt to it.
