Do you think America will crash like the Roman Empire?

In today's society everything seems to be focused on the most redundant issues. Our society's main interest is on celebrities and their lives (aka-Spears family). Comformity has become the basis in schools, teenage depression, the media warping everything to create an arguement, the harsh words thrown towards Bush that voters have put in office their selves, the constant stream of trends we have to keep up with just to be cool, people buying thousand dollar purses when there are starving people in the streets, the increase in overweight, and the war in Iraq that some people don't even think of any more. Everything is revolved around large cooporations and must haves of the new season fashion. Celebrities preach to us to be more energy friendly, but I don't see them giving up their multiple houses. What about our troops in Iraq too? Do you agree when I say that we should just back away from the enertainment factor and find our own lives before we collapse like the Roman Empire?
